Thursday September 11, 2014

Today there are three functions in house, two day meetings and an evening Anniversary party. The Anniversary Party is expecting over 50 guests and will be in the Grand Hall.

The hotel is busy today with only 12 rooms left to sell.

This Day in History: I'm sure we all remember the tragedy with the World Trade Centre in 2001 when two hijacked commercial jets were crashed by terrorists into the north and south towers in New York City, causing the collapse of both towers. A short while later, another plane was crashed into the Pentagon, and fourth into a field near Shanksville, Pa.

Also on this day in history (here's one for Neil)- In 1997 in Scotland, voters approved the establishment of a Parliament to run their domestic affairs, after 290 years of union with England.
