Hi Neil,
This opportunity to comment about Windermere is
a new feature for us. We haven’t experienced the opportunity before.
From the front desk—perennial Gwen, two-year
tenure for Blake, and also Spencer to the housekeeping e.g. Mersada who must
have known that our granddaughter (BC) who is doing research this summer at the
U of T spent two nights with us because there was an elephant complete with
eyes that greeted her on her bed the first night out experience has been
extremely rewarding.
Now don’t reprimand Mersada because of the extra
use for small towels. It meant a bigger tip for her and more accolades for
Windermere. She must have taken courses on housekeeping procedures and
entertaining features.
Commend your staff, Neil, because they make
Windermere a home away from home. The kitchen staff were most accommodating because
I have severe dietary restrictions.
Everyone will be sorry when Windermere Manor can
no longer continue without major repairs but it will eventually suffer from a
wrecking ball. Hopefully a new building will have features of its
predecessor—especially the elevator. Unfortunately no one will be able to look
out from a window onto the old oak tree and witness the wild turkeys that can
be seen in the upper branches when there are no leaves.
Keep up the good work, Neil!
Best wishes to all from Anne and me,
Bill
