Weekly Team Meeting

Each week we meet to discuss the functions and events that are coming up in the next ten days, we also provide an update as to what's happening in the various departments - today I'm gonna try "blogging live" from the meeting - let me know what you think at nkelloc2@uwo.ca

Each week we will be inviting a different employee to join us for this meeting, if you'd like to attend just let me know and I'll make sure you're invited ASAP.

This weekend in Windermere's Cafe we have some of our Opera Series guests joining us for dinner and shuttle to the Opera on campus.
We also have a wedding on Saturday night in the Grand Hall this weekend, the wedding ceremony is on site.
Breakfast will be served in the Grand Hall on both Saturday and Sunday mornings due to high house counts.

We have our jazz night valentine's special on Feb 14th - see previous blog for details, reservations are at around 50 right now.

We have a wedding and an anniversary dinner on Saturday, Feb 15th.

Five sign ups for first aid training on campus - Andrea, Izabela, Shawn, Robert & Blake- training is on February 18th & 19th.

Food safety training is the same week, all food handlers must have this training.
SmartServe training to be completed by end of February.

Hannah and Robert are working on updating employee handbook.

Next stat holiday is Family Day, February 17th, also it's Hannah's birthday that day !!

New linens have been ordered for the Cafe, should be here this week.
New kitchen uniforms being looked at, need to purchase more.

Health inspection for both kitchens went well last week, report is on the health & Safety Board in the Staff room.

This is last week of LondonLiscious, good feedback so far, not seeing a huge increase in Cafe traffic though, will review for participation next year.
Recent London Food & Wine show went very well, revenue from ticket sales covered our costs.

Working on new Jazz series music in Cafe on Friday nights, more details to follow.
